Thermostat Test, Calibrate, and Pointer Assembly Machine

This machine is a dual track, two up, automatic thermal switch pre-heat, to a precise +/- 1 degree F, transfer to a return track to minimize floor space, under the test and calibrate heads, to the dual pointer assembly mechanisms to two discharge tracks. The parts travel over a rejecting gate which is capable of rejecting each individual track and deposit the switch in its respective reject condition box. Two switches are placed in their locating nests and identified by the proximity switches, two pointers are placed in the vacuum heads and identified by the vacuum switches and hands are removed from the light curtain, after which the advancing system automatically pushes the two loaded switches forward, at the end shuttles two over and pushes two back. The parts are pushed over an aluminum plate with wear strips which are precisely controlled for temperature.

Load and advance stations, test and calibrating head and reject, and eject chutes are secured by a light curtain.
PART CONFIGURATION – Two sizes of parts, no tooling, merely exchange parts.

TEST HEAD – The head can be hinged up for total access during service.

POINTERS – The head is easily adjustable for various required positions of the pointers.

REJECT – Gates on each track rejects the parts down a chute discharging the switches into bulk. These chutes have another gate which opens for certain switch reject conditions.

EJECT – Horizontal discharge tracks.

CYCLE RATE – Eight (8) Seconds producing two parts.

MACHINE CONTROL – Solid state PLC controls with a two-line message display, and membrane function keypad for operator interface. Including data input, part number selection, and machine control. Solid state sensors are used for machine position detection. A printer is included to document test results for batches of parts.

WATER TANK – Is heated by (3) 3,000-watt heaters, and the polypropylene welded tank holds 100 gallons of water.

MACHINE BASE – Heavy-duty welded construction painted with powder coat. The tank has support from the welded frame.
