- Door Knob Spring Assembly Machine
A cam driven rotary indexer transfers spring plates through a series of stations where a dual acting rotary spring is loaded and locked in a pre-set compression. Lubrication is also applied.
Cam Plates are Hopper & bowl fed through an inline track to a dead nest where they are picked and placed into a nest on a 12 position indexed dial plate. Springs are then fed from a feeder bowl and loaded, wound, and seated into the Cam Plate. The assembly is then inspected for proper operation and dispositioned. Good and rejected assemblies are offloaded into their respective chutes and transferred to bulk containers. All pick and place actions are from an indexer operated mechanical cam.
