File Folder Tab Assembly Machine

Hopper fed file folders are pre-punched and assembled with metal tabs for paper attachment. Offloading is counted and set to the side for easy operator unloading of specific quantity stacks.

This machine automatically feeds file folders on a suction type vacuum conveyor through 1, die cut and folder embossing-2, fastener pre-bent, insert and flattening-3, folder re-fold stations after which the folder is deposited on a cross take-off conveyor. The system includes an automatic “kicker” which, through a predetermined counter pushes one folder out of position, allowing the operator to pick up a predetermined number of folders without having to count them. Through a simple dial scale, the equipment is easily set-up for various sizes of folders and for one or two fastener insertions per folder.
